Does the population of the United States realize that 2% of its population is in agriculture production that produces food for 98% of our population? Does the citizens of California want their food to be shipped from China or Chile? Wouldn’t your food to be grown or raised locally? California has hundreds of agricultural products that are grown in California. California cheese makers produce over 250 different kinds of cheese that rival French cheeses using local California milk.

I was looking at the organic section at the grocery store and looked at the organic products and their claims of sustainability. Most of the products were wrapped in plastic. Then it made me think of any food product that is sold at farmers markets of grocery stores. How did they get there? How were they farmed? Was a tractor used? Did the employees walk to work or did they drive to the field? Petroleum products are used to harvest organic products in one way or the other. How did those products get to market?
